POWER PLANT TOURS
Our hydro plants provide public tours Making electricity an interesting business. We like to share the experience when possible because we believe it’s important for our customers to know how their electricity is produced.
We offer tours for the following:
In general, we do not allow any kind of photography inside our plants without prior permission. We do not provide tours for children younger than class 5 for safety reasons. We also do not give tours when a plant is undergoing maintenance or repair. You may be asked to reschedule your tour if national security levels rise or if we experience a period where electricity demand is unusually high and a plant’s generation is extremely critical to our system.
Our plant is industrial facilities. A tour can involve heights, stair climbing and walking over grating. We recommend casual clothing and flat, comfortable shoes (no sandals). Depending on where you travel in a plant, you will be provided with protective equipment, such as eye and hearing protection and a helmet.

- Community-based organizations and committees
- Neighboring social or service organizations
- Large customer groups
- Municipalities, government agencies and elected officials
- Professional organizations and associations, particularly those related to our industry
- Colleges and universities
- Technical schools
- High schools
- Neighboring schools
